Voice
I feel like a backpack
A necessity to life,
Toted around
And tossed aside.
Being used on another’s terms,
Beaten, torn, and frayed,
Around the edges.
Under appreciated
Is an under statement.
I feel like a tool
In an unknown person’s hand.
Wasted and abused
Tossed aside and forgotten.
I feel like a shell
Of what I used to be.
I how you love
The new me,
Because this is not
What I should
Be.
