Krispy Kremes & Girls This work has been published in the Teen Ink monthly print magazine.

Girl, you know I can smell you from a mile away
The sweet scent of your glossy glaze
It's hard for me not to stare when you're looking like that
Because you've got class
You're not like some greasy, fatty, overstuffed Big Mac

I know when that sign says fresh
You are looking your best!
And that glaze makes my lips quiver
It's so good it makes me want to shiver

Girl, you know me too well
And I am very simple
Forget the double chocolate chip
And give me a fresh glazed with sprinkles

I'm just a lonely doughnut hole
Girl, you complete me
I swear we go together
Like peanut butter and jelly

I know that when you see me from across the room
Eating my fresh Krispy Kreme
You want to come over there and hope I say
“You wanna share with me?”

Sitting here writing this
Makes me want you even more
There's only one thing that is stopping me
And that's my classroom door

And to all the other doughnuts out there
Forget it I've been sold
I'm no longer a sad, lonely
Little doughnut hole
