I stand in front of everyone
even though their criticism is tough.
They don’t understand me
and I had to say enough.

I’m done with the fighting.
I’m done with my fears.
I’m done with the crying,
and I’m done with the tears.

This pain has to stop
but my heart must be beating.
Their words crush the world
and soon I start bleeding.

Agony strikes me
like a storm in the distance;
Lighting, thunder, and rolling rain
with no sign of a clearance.

I wish for a meadow
a soundly, safe spot.
Where I can me alone
but still be loved a lot.

Warped in this fear;
I still hide form it.
The something inside them
with a bottomless pit.

A hole in my mind
though I can’t see
that the only place I care for,
is for you to be with me.

I’m nothing to them
because their words no longer hurt me
I’m with you and freedom,
free to run to earth, heaven and the sea.
