Life Lost; You Leave Me.

Time withers away
And nothing changes.
You'll always be gone,
I'll always be in shock, waiting for your return.

I won't realize that you're gone for good.
I've been waiting two years for it to sink in
It never has.
It never will.

Like a tree preparing for winter
I watched as you lost all your leaves,
All your colors,
As you withered away.

I can still remember standing there,
Looking lost as you wasted away in pain
Watched as you suffered
Until you died.

Time withers away
And nothing changes.
You'll always be gone,
I'll always be in shock, waiting for your return.

It's about death, and the shock a person goes through once they learn of a loved one's death.
