Clouds of soft gray
Cry gentle spurts of rain
that fall quickly off my roof
racing
rushing
spilling
each to hit the ground
and sink into soft soil
waiting to be repeated
as I listen to a melody.

The author's comments:
This was inspired by raindrops falling off of my roof as I was looking from my window. It creates a soft melody.
