Colors of a Lonely Man

I am a fluorescent green
Growing in my dreary sleep,
Being reborn every night,
Running through the grass,
In the sweet embrace of nature.
However, he is a pale blue.
Boring and dull,
Like ice on a frozen lake.
He is the blue water, at the shore.
And I am the parting sea.
But these colors are a cold warmth,
That separates him from me!
