It is pitch black. I here the murmuring of the crowd, which adds to the adrenaline pulsating through my veins.

Blindly, I find my way across stage. Arms outstretched, I rely on my fellow actors to guide me.

The tension is palpable. I find my place next to my opposite. We squeeze hands; one last silent break-a-leg wish.

My eyes are accustomed to the light. I see actors and techies alike scrambling to their spots.
