"In the depth of winter I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer. "
-Albert Camus

The night has thrown its
stars in the sky,
as the wind has blown
the flower petals by.

The grass shoots jut
in my back as I lay.
My eyes keep at the stars
wondering what they weigh.

The hair brushes off your face
repainting your God-borne freckles.
You and I tumble on the ground
the love of us rather reckless.

And the moonlight shining down
keeps some truth to all,
but only we know this night
and forever it is ours.
