A Release From Above
Standing in my driveway,
with all my worries locked up inside of me.
The first drop falls
and slowly rolls down my cheek,
like a newly wept tear.
I look up to the thunder clouds
and another drop strikes my forehead.
My heart suddenly gleams inside of me,
and all my fears have been unleashed.
My breathing slows down and my body is able to loosen up.
In seconds rain starts to pour out of the sky.
Crackling lightning and roaring thunder
bellow from the sky.
As it shouts, I shiver.
