Hunting
Eyes sharpened
Ear raised
Watching silently
Unseen
Hunting a man walks
Staring it down
And fear silently rises inside
Tail, head, feet, lungs
All ready to jolt
Shivering silently
The hunter is hunting
He will not stop
Eyes glass over
Jumping in fright, running to death
The moment of fear
The moment of truth
Will he see you and fire
Or let you go
But the hunter has seen you
Sights locked and aimed
The gun fires off
It’s always the same
The animal dies
No reason to live
For the hunter is hunting
They will come again
