He takes her hand
She gasps in disbelief
He holds on tight
She won’t let go
She tells him don’t forget me
He whispers how could I
She shed a tear
He wipes it from her cheek
He says it’s time
She hugs him hard
He tells her it won’t be long
She says I’ll wait for you
She stands
He walks away
She wonders
