"The more you practice, the better you practice" - Me (basically, I'm saying that the more you practice, the better you do. If you do well, then obviously you practice well, right?)

Before I try to fly
On a substance
I’ll remember
Who I’ll hurt

Family, Friends
They need me to stay
Rooted on the ground

But it’s just one high

No, they need me
To give them a hug
To encourage them
To do the right thing.

But it’s just one try

No, it’ll kill me
If I can’t make myself
Stop the highs
It can destroy me
Addicts hurt
I don’t want to

But it’s just one taste

No, I just want to go home
Where I know they love me
And I won’t take a taste
Give it a try
Don’t want to get high

One thing to remember
Is who you’ll hurt
Remember this
Before you try.

I had to write a poem for a contest, and this is what I came up with. I personally think it's well written, so I'm going to risk further inflation of my head by posting it here. <3
