I Remember
I remember
When we would play
Mud monsters in the rain
Sopping wet
We wouldn’t care
I remember
When we would play monopoly
You would let me win
Just to see me shine
You’d say
“Don’t get used to it”
I remember
Last summer
Your green eyes
Sparking in the sun
As we jumped in
Hitting rock bottom
I remember
How we grew apart
You moving on
To your friends
Leaving me alone
In reality
I remember
Our bond
But now your just
A memory from the past
A picture in the frame
And all I can do now
Is remember.
