The Forgotten Melody
I’ve dreamt I heard a song coming from nowhere
A music covered with mystery and melancholy
Like there’s something magical behind those notes
With deep passion but filled with gloom
I tried to uncover where it came from
But when I was so closed to it,
It was nowhere to be found
The song never vanished in my memory
I can still clearly hear it in my head
It seems like there was a connection,
Between me and that song that I can’t recall
Something related in my past that I have forgotten
But when I tried to remember it,
Something won’t allow me to reminisce
I’ve dreamt again about the song
But it was different from my previous dream
I can clearly saw the guy who’s playing it
With his violin, he played it carefree and perfectly
But with sadness in his face .and pain in his heart
I know he’s hurt but I don’t know why
I only knew that I was in love with that guy,
And he has been part of my forgotten past
I was crying when I woke up
And tears keep fallin’ as if it would drown me
Subconsciously I went looking for my old stuffs,
Looking for clues that can be a key to my past
I saw a violin with a note covered with dried blood
“I did wait, but you never came,”
This was the words I read from that letter
I was silent for a moment
And scenes from the past flash back in my memory
And now I know…
Now I remember
Now I understand
He’s the guy I loved back then
And the reason why I have a scar on my wrist
