It's Over

Let me hold out a hand,
so you can see there is still hope.
Let me hold out a hand,
so that I can help you learn to cope.

I've stood by and watched
as your soul was repeatedly tested.
I've stood by and watched
as you became once again hunted.

I held you
when your body was cold and dead.
I held you
when you were fading on your sickbed.

Let me comfort you,
you've had enough for a lifetime.
Let me comfort you,
you'll have more mountains to climb.

I saw you
slowly wither away.
I saw you
let your life be molded like clay.

Let me hold out a hand,
so I can lead you away from danger.
Let me hold out a hand,
and reassure you that it's over.
