Broken Lullaby

Sweet soft music
floats to my ears
as the sun
breaks through
the dark mellow sky
and I open my eyes
to the light
another day in this town
it will be the death of me
nothing here to satisfy
the longing of you
play that sad music

keeping my soul alive
bringing me comfort
in this hollow earth
