Make me smile;
laughing with delight.
Not how it used to be,
start again;
book of love.
Dance real slow;
voice that came from you and me-
can music save your mortal soul?
Happy for a while;
generation lost in space.
Lovers cried,
rhythm and blues;
I was out of luck,
no time left.
Last train for the coast;
widowed bride.
To the girl who sang the blues,
the music wouldn’t play.

This is a found poem I wrote in English class from the lines in American Pie by Don McLean.
