Beauty is . . .
Poetry
It is an art
Less thought of then painting or sculpting
But in my opinion, more pleasurable
The feeling of words flowing from my fingers
Filling the blank pange before me
The sense of pride I feel
When I know I've discoved somthing wonderful
Is something I've never gotten from drawing
Note I said
"discovered" not created
You cannot create a poem
The words were already there
You are simply the doorway
To another world
And every time you open the door
A new world lies beyond
You are the catalyst
To allow them to the material word
A good poem is allowed to flow through you without restraint
You have to feel the words that fabricate themselves from your emotions
Restrain them and they are stiff and meaningless
Let them flow freely and you have a masterpiece
If not to everyone else, it is to you
Poems are the most personal things in the world
They have a different meaning
To each and every one of us
