One by one, day by day
Deterioration of purest leaves gleam
And luster vanished,
As waves of distinct foliage
Embed the tree tops
Like a cover slowly slipping away.

Depression arises
Warm-filling air has gone;
Depressed leaves, as well,
Slowly lose interest
While the sway, loosen, and fall.

All is deserted
Birds chase warmth;
Squirrels search for gatherings;
Turkeys die.

gravelly aromas creep with horror
Emerging from a dark fog

A cold, devious death
