I try to count my blessings
It always makes me think
But I have been blessed many times
Before I can even blink…
First, there are my five sweet cats
That love me to the brink

Also, my cozy house and bed
And hot tea when I’m sick
Movie Nights with my best friend
The hilarious movies we pick

Next, all the walks I’ve had with Mom,
Plus tickle fights with Dad
And even my church and Winter Weekend
The fantastic times I’ve had

There’s always the God I’ve put my faith in
Who is, I think,
A blessing in Himself
And even with all my shortcomings,
He can’t love me enough

Moreover, all A’s on my report card,
Understanding teachers,
And smiley faces on tests
My coterie of friends who laugh along with me:
They are just the best!

To sum it up…
I can’t!
I can’t count all the rest in sync
So many blessings in so little time
