The days wax and wane
Still everything I see is pain
From day to night
Night to day
Smiles hide what they long to say
My heart breaks
My soul cries
My mind screams
And yet I don’t understand
How do I rid you of your pain
The world so large and cruel
Consumes what it wills
I seek to restore
To create that smile anew
Fresh as morning dew
Cool as a summer breeze
As lovely as you.
