I bought a jelly donut from Wal-Mart
it was such a donut

I wanted to save it in a spot where all could see

It was as normal as any other
what with it's being doughy and all
but I was like a bug drawn to a light with it
The thing was just so amazing

It was baked to a beautiful golden tan
as if it had sunbathed on the beach for a while
Coating this bronzer masterpiece
was an enchanting layer of chocolate

Although it was so pretty
I finally took a bite
all at once delicious flavors exploded in my mouth
as if somebody set off a time-bomb of
deliciousness in my mouth

At that point I knew I had have more
it was my ecstasy
I finished it off as fast as you can say that, "Hey, that's my donut!"
And I bought a dozen more

Are you trying to get another meaning across? I know poems are seen as many different meanings--to me I think of a guy. The donut being the guy I see somebody beautiful..I see myself wanting them, and then I get them but I still am not satisfied so I want more. Through my eyes I see somebody promiscuous. However, I could be over-analyzing it.
