Lonely

They say to have loved and lost,
Beats never loving at all,
But I say quite the opposite,
For I have experienced the fall.
The gut wrenching feeling,
Of life’s passion fading away,
Of death emotional, creeping to surface,
And inducing heart decay.
And I also happen to know of,
Never loving at all…
Well you cannot miss what you do not know,
Without a rise, there is no fall.
There is no decline,
To a sheltered, stagnant mind,
But as for the romantic,
It is sight gone blind.
For the pain of lost love,
Will sting more than any gun shot,
Will pierce sharper than any sword,
Leaving no wound nor blood clot.
For the gash of emotion,
Leaves a never-healing scar,
For love once raised you up,
To make the fall high and far.
So lesson is learned,
Moral has been shown,
The loveless are unite,
The loving are alone…
