Walk with me,
as I take every single step toward the dark.
As if it was my first time,
and my last.
Hold my hand,
and promise not to let go.
Even when the sun drops low behind the horizon,
and the stars begin to twinkle that same sonnet.
Kiss my lips,
when the tears cascade down my cheeks.
Before I break down,
and it’ll be too late to return.
So walk with me,
and stay with me forever.
