My Love
Speaking softly
She whispers to me her faults
Flaws that have masked her silhouette
She looks me in the eyes
Hers forever holding twilight
And she lets a silver gleam
Of glacier like tears
Trickle down her porcelain face
Maybe I could wipe them away for her
Whisper in her ear and let her hold my hand
Show her the golden tint of summer clouds
She swallows her lost words at last
And touches my hair
A touch as soft as the murmur of a breeze
Her skin is feverish against mine
In only moments
I’m wrapped in her every curve
Touched in every place
Kissed with the feel of chilly rain
I close my eyes for just one second
To memorize her embrace
Rising tides of affection
Wrap around us
And for only moments
It’s just me and her
