“It’ll be fun”
“Hold my hand”
A scream.
It hasn’t started yet
We turn
Facing up.
Facing the ceiling.
My heart is pounding.
He laughs
He who forced me to go on this ride
It moves. The butterflies erupt. My eyes close.
We’re going up.
Laughing. Brothers are cruel.
It drops.
I scream
Twists, Turns, My stomach goes with them.
My eyes unclose
The ride has stalled. 2 seconds, dragged to feel as if they are an hour
We are facing the ground.
It feels as if we’re falling, velocity whispers in my ear.
The ride continues.
It is true to its name
The X lives on.
My brothers were right.
Do what you fear.
