"No sacrifice, No victory."

Once she had sparkly, tweedy eyes,
With a childish, playful, innocent oomph.
She had natural brown, flowing hair,
That glistened atop her rounded face.
She wore a pink dress,
Glittery, Rhinestones weighed down the puffiness.
An ecstatic smile covered her flawless, pink lips,
Where he laid the first kiss upon her.
Which led to more…

Does she not understand that her innocence is gone?

Her eyes a opaque, murky blue that hides insecurity,
With a depressed look of fear.
Her hair, a blond mess piled on her head,
Like golden strands of tender, burnished hay.
She wears a shadowy blue dress,
Covered in a flowery mess.
A eerie, forced smile is frowned athwart her raw cheeks,
Where he ran his hands across her cheekbone.
Which led to more…

Doesn’t she realize her whole childhood is gone?

She walks down the stairs,
A twirling, white staircase that is lined with greenery.
Her hands sweat smoothly as she runs her fingertips down the stair rails.
The sun shines through the bay window facing beside of her,
Her pink, glittery, rhinestones reflect the suns rays off to the left,
Where he’s standing, glaring right at her,
Her beautiful brunette hair braided into a bun,
She follows the pink reflection over to him,
And hops into his arms.

Doesn’t she realize her whole innocence is fixing to be gone?

She walks down the hall,
To her bedroom with the desk in the corner,
Where he’s sitting atop.
With a flinch, she reaches her sweaty palm out to shut the door.
Slam.
“I love you.” she pleads.
He takes his cold, chilling had to the back of her shadowy blue dress,
Unzips it down the back,
Where she steps out of it.
Her blond hair draped down her back.
She hops into his arms.

Doesn’t she realize her whole innocence is fixing to be gone?

The author's comments:
My best friend, gave away her innocence and it destroyed her life for a while. She made a huge mistake in life. Yet I still love her and stand beside her. This poem tells who she was before she gave herself away, and tells what she was afterwards. I actually consider her one of my hero's because shes shown me all of the damage that one night can bring towards you in the future.

To love is to risk not being loved in return. To hope is to risk pain. To try is to risk failure, but the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing..

Sometimes, that's all you can do.... Learn from other ppl so that you dont do the same thing!! =)

It's sad when things like this happens.... But yet, at times... just to see this happen to someone else actually teaches YOU a lesson..... It shows you not to mess your life up and just be a kid for a little while longer.... Like 'they' say.... 'hold on'
