My Judgment Day
I’ve walked in the presence of the Devil,
Stood before his leering throne of human bones,
Brittle over endless time.
Drunken from his goblet of human blood,
Yet not experienced death, but birth.
Birth in confusion, the feeling of being lost,
Lost in my own world, for upon the drop to my tongue..
I appeared again in my own world.
The Devil let me be.
He let me live.
I’ve walked in the presence of God,
Stood before his graceful thrown of spun cotton clouds,
Seductive and peaceful.
Drunken from his goblet of sweet, sweet wine,
And not experienced the wonderful high, but capture.
Captured and locked away in a cage of lightning,
Paying for my many sins, for upon the drop to my tongue..
Judgment was made.
God chose to give up
He let me die.
