Freedom is a state of mind
Freely flowing as the tip of my pen
Brushes against the spot between reality and mines
as time grows apart
I must interwind
my soul is immaculate
untouchable, I find myself lost
in this world between heaven and hell
I'm back to my start
I wear my heart under my sleeve
I'm trying to reach a destination
where hands can only hold each other closer
facing times like this is infinite
I know why the caged bird sleeps
though she cant she still tries
hoping she can wake up in a different place
a different time
I really wish she could sing
her voice is a goddess's melody
if only everyone could see
the struggle for a heart is a wound that wont bleed
one can lose self and the mental goes missing
freedom is a state of mind
love is a state of mind of the heart
