For Wolf Parade

I’ve been secretly trying to freeze roses for you,
but…
they’re too delicate,
and…
as I watch the tiny petals fall apart in my hands,
I think of you and feel guilt punch places I’ve never seen.
I only wanted your hopes, your love, and your body,
but nobody loves me
and…
nobody gives a care either way.
