A Warrior Poet once said to me
Under the midnight sky
To keep an open heart always
And see the world with a child's eyes.
“Be silent, be still, and you will see
the beauty of life, of eternity.”

The twinkling stars cast around his head
An aura of most radiant light.
Oh, that which did catch my gaze
'Twas indeed a brilliant sight!

“Nay,” he said, “You doubt thyself.
Your eyes they fail to see
The perfection which resides in you
that of divinity.”

“M'lady,” I heard, “you brightly shine
with the light of heaven so simply divine.
You inspire, my dear! And it's now only clear
that my heart knows that it loves you.
An angel above must surely have sung
the day you were placed in this world.
I would give up my sight, my speech and my life
to ensure that you're happy, dear
And I promise you this, sealed with a kiss,
that, for you, I will always be here.”
