"Everyone's filled with art, so express yourself." - Sarah Marcy

It's quiet and calm;
a normal, clear morn.
The dew, glistening on lawns
and noises of beeping horns.

The tension builds
intensly, by every step.
Movements start to yield
as uncertain had crept.

In a blink of an eye
the silence breaks.
The stable comfort dies
and hearts ache.

The innocent
left without say,
for punishment
of another's cruel portray.

Normalcy as we know
struggles and falls.
Like the towers billows
of debris and walls.

Secrets left unknown,
but made a scar
hard as stone
and love afar.

This poem is about 9/11 and how quickly a lot of lives changed. The big disaster, and how fast everything can disappear in such a small time. It shows that we should live our life everyday, because you never know when it's going to end.
