Lightning

Rain falls,
smacking the windows.
The sky is tall,
so the rain falls hard.
Thunder sounds,
shaking the clouds.
We count,
one-one thousand
two-one thousand
three-one thousand
Lightning strikes,
lighting the darkened sky.
Three miles away,
it touches ground.
Lightning cracks the earth,
making no sound.
