getting there

you said what i wouldn't even dare to think
you believed what i could not yet accept
you told me all the things i wanted to be true
but i was convinced they weren't
i didn't think i'd ever believe it again
but you also believed in me
you helped me become strong once more
you've helped me trust again
one day i will truly believe what you say
but until that day comes you won't win
and when that day comes...thank you
for getting me there
