I am a misunderstood girl
I hear the wind singing to me through the trees
I see the rays of the sun dancing on the still waters of the lake
I want to become a writer to share my thoughts and ideas with the world
I am a misunderstood girl

I pretend that the world I live in is a fairytale when things get too crazy
I feel the soft touch of the fairies as they flutter around me
I touch the rough, scaly wings of a dragon as I walk around him trying not to disturb him
I worry that I won’t be able to make my family proud of me
I cry for all the abused children and animals; for those who are less fortunate than I
I am a misunderstood girl

I understand that if we all work together we could possibly make this world a better place
I say that animals have feelings too and shouldn’t be abused or neglected
I dream that I’ll become a great writer and mother someday
I try to do the best I can at everything I do
I hope to some how make a difference in the world
