Favorite Quote:
What I am was born in me. It’s a part of who I am, who my family is, who we all are as a tribe — it’s the reason why we’re still here.
- Jacob Black, "Eclipse"

Even though my friend and I
Are different in many ways,
It doesn’t mean that
We can still be friends.

My friend and I both live near each other.
But I live in a city,
And he lives in the forest.
But I still like him.

My friend and I are both leaders.
But I’m president of a book club,
And he’s an Alpha of a pack.
But I still like him.

My friend and I both like getting active and doing sports.
But my favorite sport is football,
And his favorite sport is hunting.
But I still like him.

My friend and I both have long, dark russet hair.
But my hair only grows on my head,
And his hair grows all over his body.
But I still like him.

My friend and I both like getting wet in the rain.
But when I get wet, I smell like sweet grass,
And when he gets wet, he literally smells like a wet dog.
But I still like him.

Even though my friend and I
Are different in many ways,
It doesn’t mean that
We can still be friends.

My friend and I are both mammals.
But I am a human,
And he is a wolf.
But I still like him.

Along time ago, I had a very unusual friend. His name was Waya and he inspired me to write this poem!
