Some say it's depressing
Some say it's sad
Some say it's in the way
But I say they're mad
Because the cooling liquid that falls from the sky
Is not an enemy of mine
Instead, shining little friends dazzle my senses
With their brilliance, oh so fine
When my old friend rain comes to say hello
I look out and say,"Well hello to you too"
He says back to me "My, what a lovely day"
And nothing could be more true
When clouds role overhead with their threatening gaze
I simply look up, smile and wait
For the ominous clouds never truly sleep
They get darker, until rain, they create
A thundering beast is created from this
It spits fire and water and wind
But this big bad monster did not scare me
I just listened to it, and grinned
Because the rain it sends down from above
Be it cold and heavy too
Is really just the same old friend
And nothing could be more true
Some say it's depressing
Some say it's sad
Some say it's in the way
But I say they're mad
I couldn't say why so many don't enjoy it
But one thing I know is true
That when my old friend fain says Hello
U look out and say, "Well hello to you too"

Living in the Pacific Northwest, I get lots of rain. All this rain finally got to me and I chose to write about it.
