A beautiful rose
I indulge in its beauty
A beautiful rose
With its hidden cruelty

It's sweet tender smell
Such soft elegant petals
A beautiful rose
What danger it holds

As I stare at the innocence
A piece of nature so stunning
I reach out to grab it
To find how it's so cunning

A prick of my finger
As the blood trickles down
A beautiful rose
Turns my smile to a frown

Deceiving my senses
It’s both evil and good
Such a sweet tender rose
By everyone misunderstood

A beautiful rose
I indulge in its beauty
A beautiful rose
With its hidden cruelty
