His Pride and Joy

Lying there at night, physically and emotionally drained
photo placed upon his burea, still perfectly framed
daddy's pride and joy, he still will remain
what he would give for him to be at just one hockey game
there is something missing, a hole i could never fill
but i will always be there for his vulnerable heart to spill
