the hustle and bustle
of cars in the city
is non-existent here.
the faintest sound
of motors running,
echoes in the distance.
in the warmer months
birds chirp a catchy tune.
repetitive, and easily recognized.
a lawn mower putts by
the living room window
and the smell of fresh cut grass.
a soft breeze
wisps through the air
carrying white seeds
on it’s way.
