"She was fascinated with words. To her words were things of beauty, each like a magical powder or potion that could be combinded with other words to create powerful spells." From: Lighting(By: Dean Koontz)

?
we stole this love

like a runaway train

?
we jumped on

hand in hand

stumbling, silly, and drunk with play

?
our love is great

just like a train

fast, and fun, full of weird things

?
our love traveled through wind and rain

just like a glorious runaway train

?
but like all train rides

we must come to an end

?
a runaway like ours always has a tragic end

?
no train can go forever

of this we were sure

but a forever like ours might have endured

?
we loved each other crazy

on our runaway train

through the snow, the wind, and even the rain

?
So what could bring such a train to a stop?

It was our parting fates that brought us to a halt

?
to love someone like you

means knowing when to pull the brake

when we seem like more than you can take

?
we stole this love

like a runaway train

?
we jumped on

hand in hand

despite all the fates

The author's comments:
This is a passage from a book I'm writting. It's actually something that one of my Characters writes. So its not from my point of view but from someone else's completely. In this passage a runaway train is compared to this person's doomed relationship.
