"What are men compared to rocks and mountains" Pride and Prejudice

Perhaps it was meant to be,
Destiny told in a dream.
Fate is not what we make it,
It's what Fate makes us.
Nothing can stop nature from taking course.
But, like human nature, can nature make mistakes?
Can nature feel remorse?
Maybe it makes up for errors it commits
With good luck or good karma.
But only if you believe in luck.
Luck is intangible in a world based on material things.
Except when nothing matters but the intangibility of life itself.
The only difference is the whether you act or follow.

A poem I wrote for one of the chapters in a novel that is unfinished. Each chapter has a poem that pertains to it but this one is more of a general topic.
