To match tan calloused hands
Glasses and a face
Squinting; intent on a book-
Plum, and bold white Atheism
Across the cover.
This man worn in decades
Reading jumbled lines with confusion
Perhaps to find what he's lost
In these pages, or in the bible,
Or anywhere else in the world.
Jesus will seek, shattering plastic
On his way out.
