The smothered clock
Screams muffled tick tocks
Accompanied by an orchestra
Of softly punctuated clicks
Rolling fingers compose systematic
Rhythms on lettered ivory keys
With timid radio buzz and
Rubber band snap melodies
The crowded percussion section
Pens and scissors clash
Telephone ringing off tempo
Impromptu metronome
Each minute sixty steady beats
Composing clangorous symphonies
For walls and closed doors that envy
Those with hands with which to clap

I love this, I feel like I can hear it as I read every line!  Good job!
