A Few Seconds of Heaven

Surfing down the fluffy white pillows
but on two planks instead
no worry in his mind
skiing up to the jump with the miraculous spinning and flipping movements
Grabbing his ski to tweak him into amazing ariels
wind flowing through his body as if he were nothing and then...
Down
Down
Down
Down through the air
hardening to wood
ripples of paint and color contrasting his body
splitting perfectly in two into skateboard-like shapes
everyone watching in awe as the slap into the ground
