It is not what you are or how much you own, but who you are.

I don't want to be
a Supergirl anymore.
I don't ever want to see
the sun again.
The light of day's
too much for me.
The moon has shown
itsself to me.
My life has changed
it's path too much
for me
to just give up.
I can't be
a Supergirl,
but I don't want to
be here.
I can't just
forgive your ways.
It's just like you
can't forgive me.
I know I'm not right,
but you know I'm not wrong
to not want to be
a Supergirl
anymore.

The author's comments:
I wrote this in September of 2009, and I've been debating myself as to why I can't post this. As I lost my battle against myself, I also lost this in my poem book. What do you think about it? I could really use some feedback!
