The Real World This work has been published in the Teen Ink monthly print magazine.

Disney screwed us over
making us think
we could have the perfect story
if only we believe.
Well, faith, trust, and pixie dust
can't conquer all the hate and lust.
The real world's not anything like
what we were told that we would see.
Things don't work out as perfectly
as we wish that they could be.
We lose a slipper; lose a dream.
Find a lamp and have a light
in the darkness of the real world.

I read this in the magazine, I was looking for a poem that really spoke to me and when I read the first line, I smiled!

This is just the perfect synopsis of a young person's life. Just wanted to let you know that your writing really speaks to people!
