Bright Christmas
Spun Crystal
and holly
and mistletoe and
Evergreen wreaths
and holiday cheer
but still it passes me by
all of life's gloom makes me turn away
I fear that this will be the year that i just don't care
for jolly Saint Nicholas
but one walk down the city streets
with snow picking up and dancing neath my feet
one look at the joyous childrens faces
one glimpse at the marvelous trees and i know
tis the season
tis the season to fight the grey
with bright reds and warms gold this will be a Christmas like no other
memories of warm cocoa surrounded my books while looking down to see all the swarming people on the city streets
Macy's Shop windows bright and festive
and the beautiful glasses and lacquers and silks
Tis the season
And reality wont touch that
