Struggling, holding on,
Trying to stay connected.
It hangs on.
Surviving, Retaining its color
Straining to live, Unlike the others,
yellow and lifeless.
Beaten by wind, lashed by rain,
It holds to its life source.
Struggling each day, fighting for life,
Never surrendering
not until it leaves the tree.
Waiting for that day.
It struggles, it fights,
The leaf, still green, holds on.
