I sit here thinking
Hopelessly in love with an idea
The idea of you
But not you
So each morning I call a concept
We discuss our plans over coffee
And meet up later
And kiss
I kiss a thought
Make love to it on quiet afternoons
And cry on quiet afternoons
After
Because I make love to a suggestion
That suggests I’m still alone
